A Moto X accessory has popped up on Motorola’s website, which is described as a “wearable accessory” which unlocks your phone with a tap of the finger. There’s not much more to say about this device, except that it clips onto a user’s pocket, shirt or collar and unlocks the Moto X’s lockscreen without having to touch the device’s screen.
The simple device seems a little bit unnecessary to me, but could be useful for some users. It could be useful if tapping the Skip device would silence a ringing smartphone or be used to skip songs while listening to music. We’ll have to see what the full feature set of this $20 gadget is when it ships.
Droid Life found the Skip support page which can be found here. Would you spend $20 on a device that does nothing but unlock your Moto X’s lockscreen? Let us know in the comments below.
