Just when we’ve told you that MediaTek may’ve scored a deal to make chips for Amazon future tablets we have a new information claiming the opposite – the Kindle Fire HD will rock Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor.

As revealed by publicly accessible benchmark results at WebTrek and GFXBench, the next Kindle Fire HD will use one of the fastest CPUs around, clocked at 2.15GHz while sporting an 8.9-inch 2,560×1,600 screen.

It is said that Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will run the show out of box with Amazon’s own custom software singing on top, allowing users to quickly access popular Amazon services, buy games & books, rent videos and so on.

The new Kindle Fire devices will likely be unveiled just before the Christmas shopping season, and yes we tend to think they’ll sell like crazy…
