According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Apple has instructed Foxconn’s parent company Hon Hai to begin shipping two new iPhone models in September, the low-cost iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S. Speculation has been pointing to Apple announcing the new iPhones at a press conference on September 10th.
The shipping plans suggest that two new iPhone models could be launched as soon as next month, pointing to a strategy shift as Apple attempts to regain its momentum in the smartphone market. The company hasn’t previously announced different iPhone models around the same time. – Wall Street Journal
The iPhone 5S will be released with Apple’s iOS 7 and is rumored to come with a fingerprint scanner, a camera with a dual led flash and even a shiny gold color.
