The influx of ginourmous handsets begins with the Samsung Galaxy Mega. The Mega pushes the limit of phone size with a whopping 6.3-inch HD Super Clear LCD (720×1280) display that far surpasses the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II. Under the hood, the Mega is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual core CPU and 1.5 GB of internal RAM running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It rocks an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a beefy 3,200 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Mega will debut on Sprint, AT&T and US Cellular. AT&T chimes in with a price and launch date confirming that the device will be available on August 23rd for $149 with a new two-year agreement. Sprint said the Mega 6.3 will be available "later this year," but did not elaborate on the pricing. U.S. Cellular confirmed it will carry the device, but did not announce pricing nor availability.
