AT&T to expand LTE to 50 new markets in second half of 2013

AT&T announced today that it intends to cover 50 new markets with LTE by the end of 2013. This announcement comes hot on the heels of a big summer rollout that saw the carrier add LTE in 78 markets. The last places to get LTE as part of this summer push should see the service light up this week and include Ruston, Louisiana; New Bern, North Carolina; State College, Pennsylvania; Georgetown, South Carolina and Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

AT&T will provide LTE in more than 400 cities by the end of 2013 and is on track to finish its LTE rollout in 2014. Here is a list of the next 50 markets to get LTE later this year:
