Jolla announced that the first production batch its Sailfish OS-based smartphones has been fully booked by consumers from 136 countries all around the world.
The first Jolla device is targeted to begin shipping by the end of 2013, starting in Europe. The first operator to offer it will be Finland’s DNA, and we assume few other carriers will “join the revolution” soon afterward.
For those who missed the first opportunity to get their Jolla device, there will be a second chance, with a new batch of Jolla smartphones set to be offered for pre-ordering later in the fall.
