Uber is expanding. The popular cab hailing service that allows users to hitch rides from their smartphones is arriving in Dubai. Much like any other place the riding service sets up shop in, the intent is to make getting a ride in the city a simpler.
The company announced this to the public in a blog post, and assured folks that new cars and drivers to the service are arriving in the coming weeks. Uber hasn’t given any specifics on what cars it expects to use over in Dubai, but the BMW 7-Series it is using now is top-notch. This isn’t a surprise considering posh the lifestyle is in Dubai. We can only imagine what the rest of the lineup will look like once announced.
With a hefty $250 million investment from Google Ventures, Uber is growing rapidly and is at the forefront of taxi hailing services. First, they moved overseas to China, now the middle east. Who knows where else.
