Well, the wait is over. Huawei has finally announced the Honor 3, its long-time rumored smartphone. Just as we expected, it comes with specs that are comparable to the Ascend P6. These include a 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, Huawei’s own K3V2E quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, HSPA+ & Wi-Fi connectivity, 8GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD cards), and a 2,150mAh battery. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is running the show with Huawei’s custom skin singing on top.
Best of all, the Honor 3 comes in a water-proof body (IP57-certified), making sure you can use it during the rain. Or after you accidentally drop it in a bathroom. Please don’t try to imagine a scene…
Anyhow, the Chinese company has started taking orders in its own backyard, asking 1,888 Yuan for the unlocked, SIM-free unit. That cash, in case you wonder, translates into roughly $308 or 233 EUR. Pretty sweet I would say; what do you think?
