Few days ago, the Flipboard app popped up at BlackBerry World store. That, however, was a simple port of the application that works on Android devices. And Flipboard promptly pulled it off from the store, only to announce that an updated version will be released shortly.
In a tweet, the company said that Flipboard will be “coming to select 10.2 OS Blackberry phones soon,” adding that we should “stay tuned for the launch of Flipboard on Blackberry.”
And while we’re not sure what the “select phones” phrase means we think they’ll initially release the application for all-touchscreen BlackBerry Z10 as it seems easier to “work with,” rather than create a whole new application that sings along the QWERTY keyboard-equipped BlackBerry Q10 (that has a smaller screen). We’ll naturally get back to you when Flipboard returns to BlackBerry World. Stay tuned in the meantime…
