Apple is coming off its big announcement two days ago, as it officially showed the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S to the world. So now the tech giant is teaming up with one of the biggest fashion designers in the world, Burberry, to shoot its Spring/Summer 2014 runway show using the iPhone 5S.
This is the perfect kind of PR to further tout Apple’s brand new camera on its new flagship 5S smartphone. The show will feature the camera’s improved capabilities while it uses it for taking pictures and capturing video. The posh clothing company had written this in its announcement on its website:
Apple and Burberry today announced that iPhone 5s is being used to capture and share beautiful photos and video before, during and after the Burberry runway show in London on Monday, September 16.
Using the all-new iSight camera on iPhone 5s, Burberry is shooting high quality photos and video for runway and beauty looks, product details, and backstage moments. The collaboration is reimagining how Burberry engages consumers, paving the way for significant changes in how they capture and share their content
The new iPhone 5S offers some incredible improvements compared the current models out, including a dual-LED “True Tone” flash on the rear-facing camera, an Apple-designed lens with f/2.2 aperture, along with a 15 percent larger active sensor area, and larger, 1.5 micron pixels. In addition the 5S’ camera can shoot in 1080p (30fps) and 720p (120fps).
The runway show is scheduled for Monday, September 16 at 2:30 PM GMT+1.
