King has announced that it will soon be bringing yet another popular title to mobile in the near future. Papa Pear Saga is a simple, yet incredibly addicting game that will no doubt be sent up to the top of the games list on iOS and Android when it officially launches.
The main objective to Papa Pear Saga requires the player to light up the buckets below the obstacles by shooting Papa Pear Balls, in which he will bounce all over the place. Sometimes the objective is to hit a certain amount of acorns, hit fruit into the buckets, and sometimes the buckets have seals on them you must break before getting the ball in. This is King’s first mobile title to implement the physics element, bringing levels to life like never before.
What kind of King game would it be without a healthy selection of boosts and power-ups? You’ll find a ton of helpful boosts in Papa Pear Saga, from turning him into a fireball that eliminates obstacles faster or a multiply boost that will give you multiple balls to get you ahead.
Papa Pear Saga is already a hit on Facebook, so it’s no surprise that it will soon be getting the mobile treatment. You can expect Papa Pear Saga to land on iOS and Android devices in the early fall with more than 120 levels at launch!

King Prepares to Bounce Papa Pear Saga onto Mobile Early this Fall
King’s portfolio exceeds 1 billion game plays a day across all platforms
San Francisco, CA & London, England – August 15, 2013 – King, the world’s leading cross-platform, bite-sized games company, today announces it will release its hugely popular Facebook gamePapa Pear Saga on mobile early this fall. The physics-based puzzle game, which has over 4 million daily players on Facebook (AppData 07/08/13), will soon be available on iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) and on Google Play for Android devices.
News of this latest mobile release comes as King announces it has exceeded 1 billion daily game plays across its portfolio of gaming titles on mobile, Facebook and King.com.
Papa Pear Saga will launch on mobile with over 120 levels, providing a seamless game play experience across mobile and Facebook. Players will be able to enjoy the game anywhere, anytime – ensuring their leaderboards, scores and progress are synchronised regardless of device.
“Papa Pear Saga is different to any of our other games. It still possesses that core King puzzle quality, but it will be our first mobile Saga game to have a physics element which we think will translate very well to mobile and tablet game play,” said Riccardo Zacconi, CEO and co-founder of King. “It’s also astonishing to see game plays grow to over 1 billion a day. This is a tenfold increase since our first Saga game launch on mobile this time last year.”
Papa Pear Saga is based on an endearingly wacky, colourful fantasy world. Players shoot Papa Pear out of a cannon at the top of the screen. They need to make each shot count so that Papa Pear hits the target objects (such as acorns and carrots) and then lands in the right bucket at the bottom of the screens.
