The hot-new LG G Pad 8.3 may cost as little as $299, according to Zol.com.cn. That, apparently, could be the price of an unlocked, Wi-Fi-only model whereas the 3G-enabled one will likely cost more and in many cases require a carrier contract.
We’re not sure whether this information is true or not, but if it is true – we may be looking at a winner here. We liked the G Pad 8.3 from the very first moment it was announced. It’s highly portable, thin and powerful enough to make for a smooth user experience. We were kinda afraid LG will ask a ton of cash for its first tablet in years, but alas – looks like that won’t be the case. Presuming this information is right on target, we’re now hoping that folks not living in the U.S. will be able to get it for a comparable amount of cash. Cause that’s not usually the case… ;(
