Well folks, the day has come – BlackBerry Z30 has been officially announced, boasting a 5-inch 720p HD screen and the latest version of the BlackBerry OS (10.2), which will also be released for other BlackBerry models (Z10, Q10 and Q5) in mid-October.
Compared to Z10, this model also has a slightly faster dual-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro) clocked at 1.7GHz, as well as a bigger, though non-removable battery of 2,880mAh. Nevertheless, you should get enough juice to get your through the day and then some – the company says it supports up to 25 hours of mixed use.
In addition, the Z30 also comes with Stereo Audio and BlackBerry Natural Sound, making BBM Voice and BBM Video chats sound more natural and realistic. Plus, let’s not forget the new antenna technology that “dynamically tunes reception” to give users better connectivity in low signal areas, while also delivering faster data transfers and fewer dropped calls.
The BlackBerry Z30 smartphone will roll out from select carriers and retailers around the world beginning next week in the UK and Middle East, and all other regions going into the holiday season. Specific pricing and availability will be announced by partners at the time of their respective launches.
Finally, to further sweeten the deal, Evernote chipped in, launching a dedicated app for the platform. Yey!
