Obvious rumor of the day: Nexus 5 coming next month with an affordable price tag

Nexus 5 dreams

According to Digitimes, the Nexus 5 will go on sale in October with a mid-range price point that’ll make the phone attractive to developers and Android fans alike.

LG is reportedly building the phone, which will closely mirror the LG G2. Digitimes claims the phone will have  “a 5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU and LTE connectivity.” It’ll likely run Android 4.4 KitKat, the next version of Android that Google partially unveiled earlier this month.

These rumors fit in with all that we have heard about the Nexus 5. The Nexus 4 is sold out in the Google Play store, so its replacement must be coming soon. As a replacement, it will mirror the pricing of its predecessor and will feature some key updates to the hardware. Since LG is making it the phone, it’s not surprising they would use the core of the G2 for the Nexus 5 as well. The only thing left at this point is the official announcement.
