Music discovery company SoundHound added cloud support to its mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. SoundHound users are now able to access their music search and discovery libraries across multiple devices, and restore the entire music library when installing SoundHound on a new smartphone or tablet.
“While we all love to get our hands on the latest and greatest mobile device to hit the market, it can be a frustrating experience if it means losing important content,” said James Hom, Vice President, Products at SoundHound Inc. “With cloud support, SoundHounders will have a reason to smile when they download SoundHound to a new device and find their whole music search history intact.”
Once you update the app, you’ll be prompted to create an account either through email or Facebook to enable history syncing that will keep your search history, bookmarked songs, artists and albums safely stored in the cloud.
Aside from iOS and Android, SoundHound is also available for Windows Phone and BlackBerry 10 smartphones and we guess that users of these smartphones will be next to be served with SoundHound’s cloud update.
