While Meizu is closing its stores, its archrival Xiaomi decided now it’s time to open retail spaces and get closer to customers.
The company that has recently hired Hugo Barra from Google’s Android team is opening its very first physical store in Wangjing district of Beijing.
The demand for Xiaomi products both at home and abroad has been amazing, especially after they’ve launched the Mi3, one of the first phones ever to boast NVIDIA’s powerful Tegra 4 chip (though it’s also available with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC in some variants).
The store will feature a whole range of Xiaomi products, including the Xiaomi TV, while also offering professional help to (interested) customers and a 1 hour repair service!
In related news, Xiaomi has recently announced crossing 1 billion downloads in its own app store.
