Google keeps adding new markets to its Play Books “scheme.” Their latest batch includes 9 countries such as Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand.
If you live in one of the places mentioned above – congratulations. If not – well, don’t worry, we’re sure Google is working to bring its service to your country as we speak.
There are no doubts the search giant would like to rollout the Play Books service globally, but things are different in the publishing industry and there are some legal roadblocks on the way. Still, we can tell that they’re on the roll and before you know it, everyone will be able to buy and rent books from his/her mobile device.
