Samsung will bring Android 4.3 update for the Canadian versions of the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note II in November, MobileSyrup is reporting. This in turn will allow these devices to sing along the hot-new Galaxy Gear smart watch.
Currently only the Galaxy Note 3 is able to connect to the Gear as it is the only device in Sammy’s portfolio rocking Android 4.3, which comes with Bluetooth LE stack that is used to connect to wearable devices like smart watches.
It is said that all carrier flavors of the three mentioned devices will be served in November, setting the stage for the Christmas shopping craze. Samsung will most definitely update some of its software alongside the core platform. It has been doing this for years, pushing the new software as “Premium Suites” rather than simple firmware updates.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world will get Android 4.3 earlier, most likely in mid-October.
