LG Optimus F6 is now available from MetroPCS from where interested folks can get it for $199 sans any string attached. You will, however, need some minutes, texts and data to use with the F6, and these start at $40 per month.
Specs wise, LG’s baby is a mid-end device with specs that include a 1.2GHz dual-core chip, 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) screen, LTE connectivity support, 5-megapixel camera on the back, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show. As such it is the best LG-made device in MetroPCS’ portfolio: two other phones are LG Optimus L9 and entry-level Optimus F3.
On the software side, the phone packs LG’s usual apps such as QuickRemote, QuickMemo and QuickTranslator along with the company’s own UI that runs on top of Android.
It’s also interesting to note that the Optimus F6 is the first device in MetroPCS’ line-up made for T-Mobile’s GSM-based (and LTE) network. That said, we should add that the phone is also available from the Deutsche Telekom-owned carrier…
