Who doesn’t love watching pieces of hardware being dropped directly onto concrete to see how they fare? Well, the guys over at Android Authority took it upon themselves to do just that and you can check out the video below.
The Sony Xperia Z1 is a sexy piece of hardware that ships with an incredible spec list. Shipping with a 5 inch 1080p HD Triluminos display, 2.2Ghz quadcore processor, 2GB RAM, 20 megapixel camera and more, it’s a bit hard to watch the smartphone be put through such torture. Luckily, Sony has stepped it up quite a bit with its more recent smartphones by adding in a metal frame to keep the hardware sturdy.
Let’s see how the Xperia Z1 fares, shall we?
As you can see, the hardware on the Xperia Z1 stood up rather well to the drop test, but ultimately bit the dust by not turning on at the end.
Either way, the Xperia Z1 is still a solid device through and through, but it’ll do better in the water than the hard asphalt.
