HTC Desire 601 coming to Virgin Mobile USA

HTC Desire 601, which was announced alongside Desire 300, is heading to Virgin Mobile USA, EVleaks has tweeted. We’re not sure when exactly it will be launched, but we tend to think that could happen within the next few days. After all, this is a rather mediocre device (so there is no need for some extra fuss) that will find its buyers among folks who don’t like signing up for carrier contracts.

Specs wise, the Desire 601 packs a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) screen and 1GB of RAM, while Android 4.2 with HTC Sense 5 is running the show. HTC will make this phone in few colors, including black, white and red; though we’re not sure which versions Virgin Mobile will offer.

We also have no idea how much Virgin will ask for the HTC Desire 601 and can only guess it will sell for around $200 sans any strings attached. We’ll get back to you when this thing is officially announced. Stay tuned in the meantime…
