Something nice may be coming soon to you AT&T Nokia Lumia owners, as the second largest cellular provider may roll out the Windows Phone Amber update today. The Death Star made sure to answer many anxious subscribers questions about the update, adding this statement:
AT&T has completed testing the Nokia Lumia 820/920 Windows Phone software update on our network. We expect Microsoft to make the update available beginning 10/10. When the software update is available for you to download, Windows Phone will notify you so you can download it directly over a Wi-Fi connection. We appreciate your patience.
Although this statement doesn’t add any real clarity to an Amber roll out for October 10, it doesn’t rule it out either. The staggered roll out began back in August, and it is now reaching the end of the line for devices on the market that have yet to receive it. Nokia has promised that the update will be available for all Lumia handsets, including the 920, 820, 720, 620, 520, 928, 822, 521, and 810. Amber brings a slew of improvements to the Windows Phone platform such as better photo features and a glance screen.
