AT&T customers with a Nokia Lumia 820 or 920 will finally be receiving the Amber update today, with AT&T and Microsoft confirming the software rollout to CNET earlier today.
There’s no doubt that AT&T customers have been getting a little miffed about how long the update was taking to rollout, as was evident on Twitter as well as AT&T’s forums. AT&T claimed on September 30th that the update “will be arriving in the coming weeks,” and it looks as if they kept their “promise.” AT&T responded to forum posts today with this statement:
AT&T has completed testing the Nokia Lumia 820/920 Windows Phone software update on our network. We expect Microsoft to make the update available beginning 10/10. When the software update is available for you to download, Windows Phone will notify you so you can download it directly over a Wi-Fi connection. We appreciate your patience.
The Amber update, which begun its rollout back in August has already made its way to the Lumia 920, 820, 720, 520, 620, 928, 822, 521 and 810.
So get ready AT&T Lumia owners, the Amber update should be hitting your devices soon!
