Deadly Premonition has carved out a niche as a cult game. It’s clunky and incredibly strange, and that’s a big part of its appeal. Now a new Apple iBook provides an interactive and informative companion to the cult title!
Deadly Premonition came out for the Xbox 360 back in 2010, and instantly polarize critics. In fact, the game hold the Guinness World Record for most polarized review scores (though Beyond: Two Souls seems poised to take its crown). It put you in the strange town of Greenvale, a creepy little town inspired by Twin Peaks.
The game has been sort of a sleeper hit, and gained cult status. In April, a Director’s Cut edition of the game came out for the PS3, featuring new content and improved graphics. This Halloween, the Director’s Cut is coming to Steam! So you can spend the spookiest night of the year with one of the spookiest games!
The games cult status has also spawned a new interactive iBook coming to Apple’s iPad. It will feature over 350 pages of content about Deadly Premonition as well as interactive maps, games, and soundboards! It’s kind of like this generations Diary of Laura Palmer!
