KPMG Italy buys BlackBerry 10 phones for its staff

KPMG

Not everyone thinks BlackBerry is doomed. In fact, one of the biggest accountancy group is buying smartphones made by the Canadian company for its Italian staff.

As part of the deal, KPMG has purchased 3,500 BlackBerry 10 smartphones and is migrating to BlackBerry’s new Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.

We’re not sure which devices they’ve picked but the chances are they went for the QWERTY keyboard-equipped Q10 rather than the Z10, though you never know.

Commenting on the move, Davide Grassano, IT Lead Partner at KPMG Milan said: “Every day our professionals need to share confidential information and need a reliable smartphone with strong security, and the flexibility to meet different working needs.”

We’re not sure whether this decision will have an impact on KMPG’s 150,000+ employees all around the world; perhaps they too switch to BlackBerry? Now that would be a big win for the company… What do you say?

KPMG Italy isn’t the first to do this.. KPMG UK and South Africa have already purchased Blackberry devices for all the staff.
