Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Ultra getting Jelly Bean 4.2 firmware update

Sony Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Ultra getting Jelly Bean 4.2 firmware update

Sony has started rolling out updates for two of its high-end devices, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Ultra.

For both devices, Sony re-calibrated the display “ever so slightly,” ensuring viewing experiences remain bright and bold. Moreover, power consumption has been economized for longer battery life, and Exchange connection streamlined for faster email sync, display and download.

In addition, Xperia Z1’s Sony Smart Social Camera platform has been revamped to make Camera apps run more smoothly, particularly the Burst Mode, Superior Auto, AR Effect and Sweep Panorama.

When it comes to the Xperia Z Ultra, it got optimized touchscreen sensitivity, for both finger gestures and writing / sketching with pencils, metal pens and selected styluses.

As far as I’ve understood, not everyone will get this update at the same time. Still, you should see it in the next few days or weeks…
