Those of you with HTC One getting the Sense 5.5 update will be “blessed” with an additional 25GB of free Google Drive space. According to AndroidCentral, this promotion is similar to the one running for the HTC One Max that gives owners 50GB of free storage. With updated HTC One, you get a total of 40GB – basic 15GB allowance, plus the new 25GB that comes with the latest version of Sense UI.
Speaking of the new version of Sense, it rocks deeper integration with Google’s services: Google+ is now supported in BlinkFeed and can be used to log into HTC’s account services, while HTC Backup tool supports the GDrive.
In order to claim all those extra gigs of space, all you have to do is update your phone, fire-up the Google Drive app and hit the “Redeem” button. It’s that easy and you’ll have a ton of space to store all of your photos, videos and other content.
The additional 25GB is good for two years and must be claimed before January 1st, 2016.
Unfortunately not all HTC One devices are eligible for this free space – for some reason, the Developer Edition is excluded from this promotion.
