Looks like Nokia plans to launch another Windows RT tablet, most likely in early 2014.
According to EVleaks, the next device — codenamed Nokia Illusionist — will rock an 8-inch screen, competing with the likes of iPad Mini, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, LG G Pad 8.3 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
Details are scarce at the moment, but we’re betting this smaller device will also have a full HD screen and some rock-solid hardware under the hood. Presuming it gets a keyboard cover like the Lumia 2520 has and it’s not too expensive, this could be an interesting product featuring Microsoft Office out of box.
However, it’s not an easy task to stay relevant in this category. Nokia will have to “deal” with Apple, an array of Android tablets, as well as few 8-inchers that run full-blown Windows 8.1.
