In its press release announcing the launch of the G Flex in South Korea, LG also said that Orange France will be the first non-Korea based carrier to sell the curved smartphone. The company failed to mention the price and the exact release date, only adding that French looking for some curved phone action will be able to join in at some point in December. We assume Orange will sell the G Flex for few hundred Euros with a two-year contract.
Meanwhile, users in South Korea will be able to get the same device starting November 12th. The price is set at 999,900 Won which is the amount that translates into whopping $940. That’s a lot of money despite the top-notch specs this thing packs under the hood.
Speaking of specs, the LG G Flex has a 6-inch 720p OLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera on the back and that self-healing backside. In comparison, Samsung’s curved smartphone, Galaxy Round, has 3GB of RAM and a full HD display. Alas, it will not be available in the West this year…
