LG Nexus 5 Now Available On Sprint for $49

The Nexus 5 landed on Sprint today, available for only $49.99 with a new two-year contract, making it the first major carrier in the U.S. to stock and sell the device. That’s great news for Sprint customers who want experience the next level of Google Nexus goodness.

The LG Nexus 5 is currently available for purchase through the Google Play Store for $349, and will be coming to T-Mobile as well, possibly on November 20th. We haven’t heard word on AT&T’s plans for the Nexus 5, but we do know that Verizon will not be carrying the device, opting instead for a ‘series of projects’ with Motorola.

$49 isn’t a bad deal for the Nexus 5, so check out this deal for sure. Just make sure you have Sprint 4G LTE coverage in your area-it’s not in as many locations as other carriers, but works like a dream when it does.

Sprint has a known issue with LTE not working on Google Play bought versions. It simply doesnt work. It wont connect, unless you *#*#4636#*#* and force it to LTE only, but then you lose voice calling, SMS/MMS and get LTE data ONLY but it doesnt work like a dream. It still is weak, still has major latency issues. Simply put, that is the ONLY way to get LTE from Sprint on these devices, there is a problem and Sprint doesnt know how to fix it, they just know there is an issue.
