If you’ve ever dipped your toes into the custom Android ROM world, then you’ve definitely heard of CyanogenMod. The developer group turned legit company announced a partnership with Oppo to release the first phone running on CyanogenMod’s custom Android based mobile OS back in September.
We already knew that the Oppo N1 would be the first CyanogenMod touting device, and today Oppo released a press release sealing the deal. The Oppo N1 will be shipping internationally in limited quantities in December of this year. The device will carry the same price tag as the regular Oppo N1.
The Oppo N1 ships with a 5.9 inch 1080p HD IPS display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage options, and 3610 mAh battery. The device has a 13MP camera that rotates 206 degrees to the front and back, as well as a small touch panel on the sides. The O-panel as it is known will allow users to snap photos, scroll up and down pages and perform various other functions.
The Oppo N1 CyanogenMod edition will come with some extra goodies, including CyanogenMod stickers, packaging and will include CyanogenMod so isers can quickly and easily install the custom ROM.

Special OPPO N1 With CyanogenMod Available in December

Non-limited international OPPO N1 devices ship with OPPO’s ColorOS system, and will support the installation of CyanogenMod directly from the OPPO N1 stock recovery without the user needing to root and install a custom recovery. In addition, it will come pre-loaded with CyanogenMod making it easy to flash CyanogenMod directly without downloading or transferring any files.
OPPO’s partnership with CyanogenMod marks the creation of the world’s first CyanogenMod hardware product. It is also the first time CyanogenMod has made software customizations for a smartphone manufacturer. The CyanogenMod team has tailored their software to specifically support all of the unique features of the OPPO N1 including the O-Touch back touch panel, O-Click Bluetooth remote control, the revolutionary rotating camera, and also unique features from ColorOS such as double tap to wake and screen-off gestures.
The limited edition OPPO N1 with CyanogenMod will ship internationally in December at the same price as regular OPPO N1 devices.
