ZTE Nubia Z5S with Snapdragon 800 chip caught in the wild

Few days ago we’ve told you about the Nubia Z7 which we thought will supersede the current Nubia Z5 smartphone. Well, that phone may actually be called Nubia Z5S and it will be a rock-solid device, featuring the current darling of the media, Qualcomm’s super-fast Snapdragon 800 chip clocked at 2.3GHz. In addition, it will also rock a 5-inch full HD screen, Infrared blaster and a 13-megapixel camera on the back, along with the ability to sing along both TDD and FDD LTE networks.

No official word when the “next Nubia” will start selling, but the chances are ZTE will want to make its flagship device available in its home country before Chinese New Year when everyone and their mama buy stuff they don’t necessarily need. Then, and only then, we may see the Nubia Z5S introduced in the West where it will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, Sony Xperia Z1 and so on. We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this…
