Retina iPad mini hits the Apple online store just before the holidays

Great news for those of you patiently waiting to get your hands on the new Retina iPad mini. Apple now has the high-demand tablet available through its online store, and delivery began at 1-3 days for 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi, and 5-10 days for all other Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models. Most major market countries also have access to it, including here in the States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Orders are being taken on the low, as no one knew when Apple would allow folks to buy a Retina mini, until now. Customers should expect arrival dates to shift to show the amount of Retina mini’s available. It wouldn’t be surprising if people don’t get their new mini until the week of Thanksgiving or after. So all isn’t lost if you can’t scoop one today because general availability isn’t expected to happen in Apple stores till later this month anyway.

We’re certain that this batch of Retina iPad mini’s available to only the online store, will be extremely limited. Since we’re so up in the air as far as expected delivery is concerned, we’ll need to depend on those of you who actually ordered one. Let us know what shipping times you’re seeing?

They’re available at the Apple Store near me today.

It’s funny because no matter how low-key Apple wanted to be with the Mini 2’s launch, there is too much desire for it and the media was all over it on day one (Nov 12). Guess they really have that little supply!
