Motorola just unveiled their newest entry, the Moto G, and it’s looking to be a game changer. Although the smartphone will surely be slammed by first world smartphone owners as under-powered and undesirable, the affordably priced unit will finally bring the latest Google software and decent specs to many who otherwise could not afford it. The Moto G will come in two configurations, 8GB or 16GB of storage, and will be priced $179 and $199 respectively.
Motorola is not skimping on the goodies for the Moto G, allowing customers to purchase cases that allow for rugged protection and even more importantly, a bit of style.
The color shells will come in blue, teal, red, yellow, white, black and purple. The cases snap directly on to the back of the Moto G.
The flip case, which has become popular for smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG G2 come in multiple colors as well, and feature a magnetic cover which folds over the front of the device. Flicking the cover up will wake up the device for instant access.
Motorola is also offering the Grip Shell for the Moto G, which is a rubberized frame that provides extra grip as well as protection against nasty drops or dings.
Motorola has yet to detail pricing on the Moto G shells, but we can assume that the plastic covers will be affordable, just like the Moto G. We’ll keep you updated as details emerge.
