PS4 iOS and Android Apps, Day One Update Now Available As Sony Preps For Console’s Launch

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, just two days until the PS4 launches! Sony getting its cards in order for the big day by releasing the iOS and Android PS4 companion apps, as well as the v1.50 day one update.

While the apps are pretty basic, they do allow users to view friend’s gaming activity, trophies, invitations and game alerts without activating the PS4. Users can also browse the PlayStation Store and purchase items and games which can be pushed to the PS4. Guides and manuals can also be easily accessed.

As for the day one update, the 323MB file isn’t needed to play games on the PS4, but will stifle a few of the PS4’s features such as logging into PSN. Just in case the Sony servers get swamped on launch day, you can find a supposed copy of the day one update here.

Two more days, y’all! Grab the PS4 app from the Goole Play Store or Apple App Store.
