Huawei Ascend P6, which at one point was the world’s thinnest smartphone, is still waiting to get the Android 4.3 update. The good news is that the Chinese company decided to skip that version of the platform and go directly to KitKat.
The update, however, will have to wait for another two months as Huawei used Weibo to say that the new firmware will be released by the end of January next year.
Aside from the changes KitKat brings, we’re sure Chinese will also include some updates to their Emotion UI that is notoriously running on top of Google’s mobile OS.
At the time the update is launched we also expect to see Huawei’s updated version of the device, Ascend P6s, officially announced. As far as we’ve heard, it will rock a faster processor alongside some other enhancements that should deliver a that much improved experience.
