Kim Kardashian’s Free-to-play “Celebrity Lifestyle” Game Coming to iOS and Android

Kim Kardashian is known for a lot of things, but gaming has never been one of them. Now the future spouse of Kanye West has a new game coming to iOS and Android devices. Kardashian and Glu Mobile have announced a partnership to release a “Celebrity Lifestyle” game!

Kim’s husband to be, Kanye, is no stranger to gaming. His own (definitely unofficial) game Kanye Quest came out earlier this year, bringing classic SNES-style RPG action with a Yeezy flair. Of course, Kanye had nothing to do with that app. Like Charles Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden, it’s a fan-made labor of love.

Kim, on the other hand, is happy to jump on another revenue stream and has made a deal with Glu to make the upcoming app. The announcement doesn’t give a lot of specifics, but it does say the game will use the free-to-play model for payments. So Kim-freaks can blow their money incrementally on in-game outfits, diamonds, phones or whatever for their idol.

San Francisco, Calif. – Nov. 18, 2013 – Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU), a leading global developer and publisher of free-to-play games for smartphone and tablet devices, today announced the company will partner with Kim Kardashian on the development of a new game that will include her likeness and voice. The title will allow players to navigate themselves into a successful Hollywood lifestyle with Kardashian as their celebrity mentor. Kardashian’s character will provide players with fashion tips and career advice as they work to realize all of their celebrity aspirations. Scheduled for release in late Spring 2014, Glu anticipates that the game will launch on iOS and Android in global markets.

The Kim Kardashian game will be developed by the Glu Toronto studio team responsible for the company’s recent successes in the casual game genre, including Stardom: The A-List, Stardom: Hollywood, and Zombies Ate My Friends. Glu will provide additional details on Kardashian’s involvement in the game development process at a later date.
