The Galaxy Round was just a first step for Samsung. The Korean giant will be working with flexible and curved screen technologies in the years to come.
Next year, Samsung plans to launch a handset with wraparound display, according to Bloomberg. This in turn will allow users to see what’s on screen even when device is viewed at extreme angles.
The report, however, doesn’t tell us whether such a phone will wear a Galaxy S or Galaxy Note moniker, or will rather pave a way for the whole new series. We’re not in the naming business and are honestly not that interested how such device will be called – we just want to try it out. Alas, we’ll likely have to wait for its launch for another few months.
Perhaps Samsung uses the upcoming CES in Las Vegas or Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to officially announced this phone. Perhaps not. We’ll be on the lookout for any news coming from Korea and get back to you as soon as we have something new to add. Stay tuned…
