Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.3 update for the Galaxy Note II LTE (GT-N7105). According to SamMobile, the new software is very stable, way more than the one Galaxy S III users got, and is also amazingly fast. The most notable change is in the UI department, that makes the Note II looks like the Galaxy S4. There also many other changes and improvements, including:

  • Galaxy Gear smart watch support
  • TRIM support
  • Samsung KNOX security enhancements
  • Samsung Wallet comes pre-loaded
  • Better RAM management
  • New Samsung Keyboard
  • GPU drivers have been updated (higher GPU benchmark scores)
  • New Lockscreen with support for Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect, ability to change clock size, and set a personal message
  • New screen modes (From S4): Adapt Display and Professional Photo
  • Daydream
  • Driving mode
  • Actionable notifications
  • Move-to-SD-card feature
  • New Camera modes: Sound and Shot
  • New Additions in Notification Centre
  • Completely revamped Settings UI with tabbed interface
  • Implementation of Voice controls
  • New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music
  • Full screen Samsung apps
  • New S-Voice (again from Galaxy S4)

As it’s usually the case with firmware updates, the new software is being rolled out in phases, so it may not yet be available in your country at the moment. Don’t worry though, as we’re sure it will hit the countries all around the world in the next few days and/or weeks.
