MetroPCS, which is now a subsidiary of T-Mobile, will join its parent company in offering TCL-made ALCATEL ONE TOUCH Fierce and Evolve smartphones. The pair of low-cost Android devices will be available from the carrier just in time for the holidays, allowing users to buy them sans any strings attached.
The ONE TOUCH Fierce comes with a 4.5-inch qHD screen, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity support and Android 4.2. It could be yours for just $99 plus tax. On the other hand, the ONE TOUCH Evolve is an entry-level device that runs Android 4.1, and which will sell for just $59 plus tax.
TCL has been steadily building the ALCATEL ONE TOUCH brand in the West, most notably in the US. Its products cater to price-conscience shoppers, offering “feature-rich smartphone options, designed from the ground up, with affordability in mind.”
