ZTE is gearing towards launching a successor to its Grand S phone. The Grand S II has been cleared by Chinese equivalent of the FCC, and it’s also being caught at AnTuTu benchmarks. The AnTuTu results suggest this phone/phablet will rock Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset, and with 33,357 points – it’s slightly (by 2,000 points) faster than Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3.
Rest of the specs apparently include a 5.5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel camera on the back. The version that was cleared in China also rocks TD-SCDMA radio making it ready for China Mobile’s network. However, a WCDMA model is also in works and as far as we (don’t) know, it could be launched either at CES in Las Vegas or Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
