Keeping up with the changing nature of social networks and microblogging, Twitter has updated both their Android and iOS apps today introducing a whole new look and feel as well as introducing some nifty features such as sending and receiving pictures in DMs and swipeable tabs available from the feed.

DMs can now be easily accessed via a bar at the bottom of the screen, with the top bar becoming swipeable with access to Home, Activity and Discover areas. Searching is easier than ever, with quick access to tweets from people nearby or from a quick search. iOS users can now save web articles to read later with Safari Reading List.

Look for the update to be hitting your device soon. If you haven’t seen it yet or don’t have the Twitter app installed, head to the App Store or Google Play Store and check out the new redesign.
