Aside from the beefed-up version of the Ascend P6, so called P6S, Huawei is also preparing to launch the next phone in the series – Ascend P7.
According to GSMarena — which managed to obtain the Chinese company’s internal document — the device that is currently known under the codename “Sophia” will rock a 5-inch full HD screen, HiSilicon Balong 910 chipset with a quad-core 1.6GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM, 2460mAh battery and 16GB of internal storage. In addition, it will rock a 13-megapixel camera on the back, and full 8-megapixel front shooter for taking “best selfie videos.” LTE connectivity support is also on board, and so is Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 running on top of unspecified version of Android.
All this will be packed in a fancy body made out of “exquisite materials,” which translates to metal in our book.
Pricing is still unknown but I’m sure this isn’t the last time we’ll be talking about the P7, which looks like a device that could further cement Huawei’s position as one of the world’s top smartphone makers. We’ll see…
