Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite Enters Production, Will Debut At MWC In February

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

According to a rumor from Korean website ET News, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite has entered production, with Samsung said to have 500,000 of the devices available for purchase in January, and 1.5 million in February. This runs concurrent to reports we have heard about the Galaxy Note 3 Lite hitting the show floor at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

The Galaxy Note 3 Lite will be part of Samsung’s lower-spec “Lite” family, which will include the Galaxy Grand Lite and Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. We’re not exactly sure what kind of hardware Sammy will be packing into the Galaxy Note 3 Lite. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is rumored to tout a price tag of 100 EUR, around $140, so we can’t expect the specs to be to high-end at all.

Samsung is expecting the Galaxy Note 3 Lite to drive at least 30% of Note 3 sales, which will undoubtedly be a hit in emerging markets. The Note 3 Lite is rumored to tout a LCD screen instead of the AMOLED screen that currently calls the Galaxy Note 3 home.

We’ll have to wait and see what Sammy’s got in store for us in 2014. One thing is for sure, the names of Samsung devices are getting a little bit complicated. So it goes.
