Looks like the Find 7 won’t be the only smartphone Oppo will unveil next year; the Chinese company is also preparing to enter the “Mini” market and launch a smaller version of its popular Find 5 handset.
According to Unwired View, this could be a device marked as R827, which has recently got a green light from the Chinese equivalent of the FCC.
It is said that the Find 5 Mini, presuming it’s ever released under that name, will rock a 4.7-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display, MediaTek’s MT6589 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 3G + Wi-Fi connectivity support. 4G LTE is not planned for this model though that could change later in 2014.
What is unknown is whether Oppo plans to bring the Find 5 Mini to the West. It did offer the original Find 5 so we tend to think its smaller counterpart will follow suit, providing another (affordable) option to choose from…
