LG will be rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat to LG G2 units across the world soon, according to a post from LG’s Korean blog. Android 4.4 graces a few of LG’s recent Android devices such as the Nexus 5 and the recently announced LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition. LG will be releasing KitKat to Korean LG G2 devices later this month, and shortly thereafter in other parts of the world.

For U.S. G2 owners, it may take us awhile to receive our Android 4.4 update. While the update has been rolling out across America to Google Play Edition and Nexus devices, the update will need to be approved by carriers before it is rolled out, which could take a few months. We usually catch wind of Android updates before they begin their rollout, and since we haven’t spotted the LG G2 KitKat update on any U.S. carriers, expect at least a month or two wait before the update hits our red white and blue handsets.

LG has stated however that they will post a schedule in the near future, which will give us all of the juicy details we need about the LG G2 KitKat update.

We’ll keep you posted as details emerge.
