Apple has rolled out yet another update to its Apple TV set-top-box. The new app to hit the line-up is called Sky Sports. This application is basically the counterpart to Sky News, which is a 24-hour worldwide streaming news outlet also found on the box. The new TV app allows viewers to watch any sporting event they want with the purchase of a Sky Sports Now TV Day Pass for £9.99. Of course, once customer’s buy their subscription to the service it is billed to their iTunes account, where it will be cleared immediately.
“It’s been a busy year for Now TV as we continue to widen access to our top-quality content by launching on popular platforms our customers use. The Now TV Sky Sports Day Pass is perfect for sports fans with Apple TV who want the flexibility to choose which live events they want to watch from the comfort of their sofa,” said Gidon Katz, director of Now TV.
So far the Sky Sports app hasn’t hit my Apple TV box, so I can’t give an opinion on how it works.
