Android 4.4 KitKat Landing on Samsung Note 3 and Galaxy S4 in January 2014

According to French carrier SFR, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 will be receiving Android 4.4 KitKat in the new year, with the update beginning its rollout in late January.

The rollout will more than likely begin in Europe and other parts of the world before it makes to the U.S. shores, so U.S. customers may not be receiving their updates until February or March. The update still needs to pass through carriers for the final go ahead, and we haven’t seen any signs of that happening as of yet.

So hang tight Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 customers, you will have the delicious KitKat update come the new year.
