And the smart watches craze continues with Martian saying it will unveil new product at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas.
The company that makes watches which just add “smarts” to traditional looking watches thinks it has a recipe to win the hearts and minds of those who don’t like the idea of turning their own wrist into an extension of their smartphone. While I personally have nothing against that concept (quite the contrary), I do understand the argument. The watch is much more than a device that shows time; it’s a status symbol of sorts, a part of your style and more. And Martian thinks its way of making these devices is the way to go.
Just like its previous smart watch, this new model will also combine elements of old and new schools, featuring an analog clock along with an OLED screen. That display will be used to show users such information as their calendar items, weather information, incoming texts, email, social networking updates and more. In addition, it will also work like speakerphone, remote camera shutter while providing users with music playback controls.
We should get other details, including an image of the actual watch, in the next few weeks. Stay tuned in the meantime…
