Oppo announced that existing N1 owners can now join the CyanogenMod party. That’s right, you can ditch the built-in Color OS for CM using a simple installer.
This, of course, is a special version of CyanogenMod, tailored to sing along the N1’s specific hardware, including that sweet, rotating 13-megapixel camera. Moreover, the O-Click Bluetooth remote control will come included and so will the “double tap to wake” feature.
As we’ve mentioned, the installation process is easy, and if you don’t like all the customizations this custom ROM adds to the mix, you are free to revert back to ColorOS at any time.
You can get all the details, including download links, from this thread at Oppo forums. Make sure to backup your device before firing-up that installer. Although this isn’t required, something could always go wrong and you could end-up without your valuable data…
